Volunteer Advisory Committee (VAC)

Advocating for the “best interests” of abused and neglected children.

The Volunteer Advisory Committee (VAC) for the Seventh Judicial Circuit of the Guardian ad Litem (GAL) Program is a forum of trained and certified volunteer GAL Child Advocates that represent each GAL office. The VAC meets monthly with the Circuit Director and staff to facilitate communications and advise on opportunities to…

Improve communications within the Circuit,
Strengthen the effectiveness of the Circuit training and mentoring program,
Promote the exchange of ideas and initiatives to improve the overall GAL Program,
Work on special projects/specific initiatives that recognize emerging policy changes and topics,

The VAC meetings are convened on the 2nd Thursday of the month from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Flagler County Government Services Building (1769 E Moody Boulevard, Bunnell FL 32110).  If you have a topic, issue or suggestion you would like the committee to address, contact us so it may be be included on an agenda.

The VAC would like your continuing feedback on specific topics to discuss with the VAC Chair- Shirley Holland, Circuit Director.  To assist with that goal we have placed a “Suggestion Box” in each of the GAL offices in the Circuit for you to place your ideas and suggestions (anonymous if you need or elect to choose), or feel free to,
