Child Advocates are Needed!
At any given time, sadly, there are more than 1,500 children in our four counties, deemed to be abused, neglected or abandoned and removed from their home or placement by the Division of Children and Families, for their safety and well being. These children range in age from their birth to 18 years old. Once they are under the Judicial Circuit 7 Court”s jurisdiction a Judge assigns a “volunteer advocate” with the Florida Guardian ad Litem (GAL) Program to investigate and provide the Court with recommendations on what placement, services and needs are in the “best interest” of the child.
I’m looking for a person, like you, who when trained and certified, will be able to speak for and on behalf of each child assigned to their care. If you believe you can volunteer your talents and energy, working with a team of professionals, in a social service system setting, to help a child be safe and secure… we would like to schedule a pre-screening interview to see if our program is a right fit for you, please…
