Often children in the child welfare system (foster or dependent children) lose their families, their rights and their hope. Join with us to see they don’t!
In advocating for an abused or neglected child, you give that child a voice… and a chance for a better life.
“Advocating for the child’s best interest is our only interest!”
Help us to serve every child. There are many children in the social system that have no access to a volunteer GAL.
The Florida Guardian ad Litem Program mission is to see that every child has a voice represented by the GAL program and we will not rest until that goal is accomplished.

I am for the child who has been abused.
Who doesn’t want to go home.
The child who no longer believes in himself.
I am for the child who has been neglected.
Who doesn’t know where her next meal is coming from.
The child who must be the parent to her siblings.
I am for the child who was taken away for her own protection.
The child who is now in foster care.
Who doesn’t know who these people are.
Or how long he’ll be there.
I am for the child who’s lived in five foster homes in a single year.
Who’s attended six schools in four years.
Who sites in back of yet another classroom, surrounded by strangers.
I am for the child who one day will turn 18,
and will be surrendered to the world.
